In Illustrate mode, export and present work in pages, not the content of the whole tab.
Exporting
Open Export as usual (see Exporting a Tab) and pick an image format. A Page row sits above the preview:
- PDF exports every page, in order, one PDF page each, each at its own size and orientation. Paper sizes come out at print size: an A4 page is a true A4 page.
- PNG and SVG export one page, chosen in the Page row (the first by default).
Each page exports exactly its sheet: its size, its background and pattern, and what is on it, cut off at its edges just as the canvas shows it. The space around the pages is never included. The plain paper exports white, and the preview shows the page you picked.
The Isometric view and Background pattern switches are not offered for pages: a page is its own background, and it is never tilted.
Turning Pages Into Slides
Pages are often presented, so its deck is one press away: in the bottom-right corner, where the Layers button sits in the other modes, the Slides button opens the Slide Deck panel just above it.
In Illustrate mode the panel adds slides a page at a time: pick a page from the list and press Add as slide. A page slide is the page itself:
- It shows whatever is on the page now, so it follows your edits, a new layout, a resize or a reorder without you touching the deck.
- It is framed to exactly the page.
- Its row reads the tab and the page ("Tab 1 · Page 2 · A4 · Portrait · Article"), and its thumbnail is the page on its background.
- Delete the page and the slide stays, empty, so you can see it and fix it.
Page slides sit in the same deck as any other slides, so a deck can mix infographic pages with slides built from other tabs. Name them, add notes, hide or reorder them as in Building a Deck.
Presenting
Press Present and each page fills the screen on its own: no labels, cogs or buttons around it, and none of its neighbouring pages beside it. Everything else about presenting is as for any deck; see Presenting.
