A legend is a small card of rows, each one a coloured dot and a label. It's the piece that turns a colour-coded diagram into one somebody else can read: which colour is which team, which status, which environment.
Adding one
Move, resize, recolour, group, or lock it like any other element. Its background and text colours come from the Colours category, the same as every other card.
Editing the colours and labels
Right-click the legend and open the Legend category in its menu. Each row gives you:
- A round colour chip: click it to pick that row's colour.
- A label field: type what the colour means.
- A × to remove the row.
Add row puts another row on the end. A new row takes the next colour from the chart palette automatically, so you only need to set a colour when you want a specific one.
Matching a chart
A row you never colour follows the same palette a chart uses, in the same order. Drop a legend beside a pie or bar chart and the first row already matches the first slice, the second the second, and so on. Pick a palette for the legend from its Presets and the rows follow it, so a legend and a chart set to the same palette stay in step.
A legend is a key, not a chart: it holds colours and words, and no values. If you want the numbers as well, the pie chart's own legend shows each slice's percentage beside it.
