The Facilitate tour shows you where everything for running a session lives. Like the Diagram Tour, it works on the real editor rather than screenshots: it spotlights each part with a highlight ring and a short explanation. It adds nothing to your canvas, takes under a minute, and you can leave at any point.
When It's Offered
The first time you work in Facilitate mode on a tab you can edit (switching a tab to Facilitate, opening a document whose tab opens in Facilitate, or making a retro or a Blank Session), a centred Welcome to Facilitate card asks whether you'd like a look: Yes starts it, No dismisses it.
It's offered on its own, whether or not you've taken the Diagram Tour, which belongs to Diagram mode and never shows in Facilitate. The tour isn't offered on a locked tab, in an embed, or to someone who can only view or take part.
The offer appears once ever. However you answer (decline, skip midway, or finish), it won't come back on its own, and if you're signed in the answer follows you to every device. Turning on Power User Mode in Settings marks it as seen too.
What It Covers
- Collaborate: Ask and Session at the end of the palette, the session kit: Ask holds votes, polls and quizzes, and Session the tools, records, reactions, selection modes and places to go. See Collaborate. The rest of the palette is the Diagram Tour's.
- Run the room: the Timer, Vote and Poll buttons in the bottom-right corner, which run for everyone without placing anything. See Session Tools.
- Bring people in: the Share button, where a Participant link lets people add notes, vote and answer without changing the rest. Left out where there is no Share button.
Each step has Next, Back and Skip tour. The last card, You're ready to facilitate, links to the Facilitate mode article and ends the tour with Start facilitating. If you leave Facilitate mode or switch tab mid-tour, it ends as skipped.
Replaying the Tour
Close Settings. If you're in Facilitate mode the tour's welcome card shows straight away; otherwise it's offered the next time you work in Facilitate.
