Bring Focus

On a big board, "look at the thing in the bottom right" doesn't work: everybody is scrolled somewhere different. Bring Focus is the button that fixes it. Press it and everyone else in the room is offered a jump to exactly where it sits.

What happens when you press it

Everyone else in the room gets a dialog:

Sam wants you to look at something with a Take me there button

Nothing on their screen moves until they press it. When they do, they land on that spot at your zoom level, so they see the same amount of board you do. If the button is on a different tab, it takes them there first.

Your own view doesn't move: you're already looking at it. You get a one-line note telling you what the press did: that the room was asked, that everyone else was already looking at it, or that nobody else is on the board.

Press it as often as you like

Anyone already looking at the spot, at roughly your zoom, doesn't get the dialog at all. So a second press catches the people who arrived late or said Not now the first time, without interrupting the people who came. If somebody took it and has since panned away, they're offered it again, because they're no longer looking at it.

Why it asks instead of dragging everyone

A jump that arrived unasked would land in the middle of whatever somebody was doing, and half-typed notes get lost that way. The invitation costs the room one click and takes nothing away from anyone.

The invitation replaces any earlier one, because the room only has one current "look at this", and it fades after a minute so it's never answering a question from two topics ago.

Who can use it

Anyone in the room, including people on a view-only share link. It changes nothing on the board, so it's as safe as following somebody, and the person who spots the thing worth looking at often isn't the one with edit rights.
